About us

The “AgroAid Foundation” was established in January-2014 with an idea to provide the quality technical support to Bangladeshi farmers to become more productive and to other NGS through supporting their activities in the field of agriculture, livestock and aquaculture/fisheries of Bangladesh. The expert and professional team in Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of “AgroAid Foundation” support and act as bridge between other NGOs, institutes to implement their programme in field level. The “AgroAid Foundation” expert team are all experienced, highly qualified professionals in their own field, who contribute to the success of its projects and the development of Bangladesh’s agricultural capacity. The staff is fully committed to building the skill and technical capacity of poor farmers; to create wealth for them in order to improve their livelihoods. Our all staff and expert team members are works voluntary and they do not receive any salary.

Management

As per approved constitution of “AgroAid Foundation”, the General Committee is managed all activities of “AgroAid Foundation” in collaboration with nine members Executive Committee headed by the president of Executive Committee. The project activities, policy and planning of “AgroAid Foundation” are prepared by the Executive Committee headed by the Chief Executive and approved by the General Committee under the guidance of Advisory board. The Executive Committee is elected/approved by the General Committee.

The Chief Executive is selected by the Executive Committee upon approval by the General Committee. The Chief Executive carries out the activities of “AgroAid Foundation” withManaging Director and the assistance of relevant professionals appointed by him and approved by the Executive Committee. The Chief Executive is accountable to the Executive Committee, General Committee and Advisory board of the “AgroAid Foundation”. Besides the relevant professionals, all relevant and required staffs are procured by the Chief Executive through our set guidelines. The plan of activities is implemented according to the guidelines of the organization through the field personnel and assures the best quality of outputs. The hierarchy is strictly maintained according to the organogram of organization- “AgroAid Foundation”.

About Chief Executive

Dr. M. Ariful Islamis the Chief Executive of the “AgroAid Foundation”, a leading agriculture and allied sciences non-profit and non-government developmental organization. He is the founder and current Chairperson of “AgroAid Foundation”. Dr.M. Arfiul Islam is aVeterinarian who currently working as Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine in the Faculty of Veterinary Science at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh-2202, Bangladesh.

Governance: The “AgroAid Foundation” is governed by the following two committees:

 A. General Committee

A 34-member committee representing different sectors of society, all of whom are committed to the vision and mission of“AgroAid Foundation”. The General Committee sits once in a year in the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The committee plays effective role in- analysis, question-answer on annual budget, analyze (question-answer) and approves annual progress report, approval of audit report and put recommendations for further development of the organization.

B. Executive Committee

It’s a 9 members committee which perform role as the highest management authority of the organization.

Working area

“AgroAidFoundation”is currently working in different Upazilla’s of Mymensingh-2202 and Manikgonj-1800 district in Bangladesh.

Legal entity

“AgroAid Foundation” was registered with the department of Social Well Fare vide registration no. Ma-01987/Mymensingh, Bangladesh.

Target groups

Enhancing the scope of community development as a whole, “AgroAidFoundation” pro-poor programmes are designed properly to cater to the beneficiaries covering the wide range of population in light of the Millennium Development Goals.
